I'm leaving for Colonial Williamsburg this monday (Felicity is very excited!) and I may have a chance to go to AGPNY before then. So I'm wondering....does anyone have an opinion on which summer outfit is better (cuter, nicer material, etc.): Felicity's summer outfit and hat or her traveling gown? And are her undergarments worth buying as well? Do they make a big difference in her dresses? I want Felicity to look great for Williamsburg so I can take some good pics!

I couldn't pick a Felicity dress. They're all great! But as for the undergarments...HUGE difference! I can't believe how much more authentic the dresses look with them on! I think you'll be happy if you get them.

    Have fun at Williamsburg!

Oh, have so much fun at Williamsburg, I can't wait to go there and take Felicity too! That has always been my plan to take the specific dolls on traveling trips with us.

Diana understands this too, yesterday, out of the clear blue sky she asked if we could go to Santa Fe. We weren't talking or playing with dolls or anything at that moment. I asked her why, and she said, "well, mama, don't you want to see where Josefina lives, she could show us all around..."

I went to Williamsburg the year before I discovered AG! That was when the Felicity program was still available, and I missed it. I really regret not knowing more about Felicity when I was there. Williamsburg is beautiful and fascinating.

The white summer dress is more likely to get dirty in Williamsburg. I think the school dress would match nicely with the brick buildings and be more durable for the outdoor conditions. The travel dress is a bit "plasticy" but I still think it is pretty.

Though I don't have Felicity, I have seen her outfits in person and have to say that although the traveling gown is pretty to look at, the material is very disappointing--thin and plasticy.

Summer dress is too white! and can get easily dirty! I like the Travel gown better if that is your choice. It is prettier too!

I'd vote for the school dress, too. It gets VERY hot in Williamsburg and the streets are dusty. When I was there (in 1998?), the stores sold lovely straw hats for AG dolls -- and you can use one yourself, too, to keep the sun from causing more of Lissie's freckles (not to mention sunburn). My dolls were much more comfy in two piece cotton outfits similar to the school outfit than they were in the more formal gowns. Have a great time! It's so neat being where all that history took place and there are plenty of events to get you into the right feeling, even if the specific Felicity ones aren't offered any more.

Thanks for the tips! I'm still deciding what outfit to get but I'll definitely try to post some pictures when I get back!
